Job summary

ING is seeking a Performance Test Engineer to join the Shared Technology organization in the Philippines. You will design and execute performance testing strategies to ensure ING’s enterprise tech remains fast, stable, and scalable under pressure.

You’ll work with engineers, architects, product partners, and platform teams across ING’s global network. You’ll design, develop, and maintain scalable performance test frameworks using Gatling and Java, analyze bottlenecks, and contribute to best

Qualifications

• Design, develop and execute performance tests for enterprise applications.
• Proven experience with Gatling for performance testing.
• Experience with load, stress, scalability and endurance tests.
• Experience testing distributed systems and enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of performance frameworks, workload modeling and NFRs.
• Ability to analyze metrics, logs and traces to identify bottlenecks.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Azure DevOps.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute performance, load, stress and endurance tests.
• Build and maintain scalable performance test frameworks using Gatling and Java.
• Analyze application behavior, identify bottlenecks and provide improvements.
• Collaborate with development, QA, infra and platform teams throughout delivery lifecycles.
• Support performance engineering across large-scale distributed systems and cloud environments.
• Define and monitor performance benchmarks, KPIs, and SLAs.
• Contribute to performance testing best practices, standards and automation.
• Produce performance reports and present findings to stakeholders.
