Job summary

Stellantis NV seeks a Vehicle Synthesis & Validation Lead to set targets and validate customer functional objectives across Body, Interior, Chassis, Engine, and EV integration.

You will lead validation activities, coordinate with extended engineering teams, and present updates to the Engineering Leadership. A B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical engineering (ABET-accredited) and 1–2 years automotive experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • 1–2 years automotive work experience required.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a team with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Target setting and in-vehicle validation of customer objectives across vehicle systems.
  • Lead validation and DVP/R activities, coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Support vehicle launch through validation trips and issue documentation in GIMS.
  • Present program status and updates to Engineering Leadership.
  • Benchmarking and sharing lessons learned with cross-vehicle Tech Clubs.

heVehicle Synthesis & ValidationLeadis responsiblefor Target Setting & Validation of Customer Functional Objectives/RrequirementsacrossBICEE (Body/Interior/Chassis/Engine Systems/EE Features/EV Integration) attributesfor the respectivearea. Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Target Setting &In-vehicle validation ofBICEEareas& examples as follows:
  • ElectrifiedPowertrain,Driver Information, Ignition Systems, Radio head unit, etc. features forEE/EV
  • Environmental intrusion, exteriorlighting, wipe/wash systems, closures, and vehicle recovery systems, HVAC, ingress/egress, cabin storage, seat comfort, vehicle restraints and interior fit/finishfor Body/Interior
  • Braking, steering, suspension, underbody clearance, disabled vehicle recovery, trailer tow, powertrain, fuel systems, Jeep off-road rating, and hill descent controlfor Chassis/Engine Systems
  • LeadValidation/development activities involving the targets and

execution of customer functionalobjective s, &DVP&R

  • Support Validation test tripsas key member for successful vehicle launch
  • Document emerging issues in the Global Issue Management System (GIMS) with supporting data, aid in root cause, and lead the design and releasing team in issue closure
  • The successful candidate needs to work with extended engineering teams to implement solutions
  • This position requires presentation to the Engineering Leadership team on status & updates.
  • Benchmarking of competitive vehicles
  • Maintain lessons learned and actively participate in cross vehicle Tech Clubs

This role requires a strong blend of creative thinking, customer-centric mindset, capable of training others and implementing processes in place by understanding existing Engineering processes.

This team works closely & reports functionally to the Vehicle Synthesis Management (VSM) team for their responsible project/program.

This position will also require special projects/assignments including helping the VSV team with activities like SW/HW updates, Ride & drive support, Vehicle Build support. This might also require trips to Plant facilities.

Basic Requirements:
  1. Minimum Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent from an ABET accredited university.
  2. Minimum 1-2 years of automotive work experience required.
  3. Excellent English Verbal & Written communication skills
  4. Must have excellent Organization skills
  5. Works well in a team environment with limited supervision, self-starter and results driven.
Preferred Requirements:
  1. 1.3-5years of automotive experience in Vehicle Development/Validation or Design engineering
  2. 2.Working understanding of DVP&R and DFMEA
  3. 3.Expertise in reactive problem solving (Shainin/Red X)
  4. 4.Technical Writing & process oriented
  5. 5.Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
