Job summary

Islandwide Distribution Corp. seeks an experienced HR Manager to oversee recruiting, employee relations, and performance management. You will guide management and staff on HR policies while ensuring compliance with labor laws and confidentiality.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on building a positive, compliant workplace. You will coordinate payroll, benefits, training, and HR reporting to support operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of HR experience; supervisory/managerial preferred.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, performance management, HR administration, and labor laws.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end recruitment, job descriptions, staffing needs, interviews, onboarding.
• Address employee concerns and enforce company policies with managers and staff.
• Conduct investigations and maintain fair, professional workplace relations.
• Oversee performance evaluations, set expectations, coach, and implement development actions.
• Monitor attendance and document violations; enforce disciplinary actions per policy.
• Coordinate payroll information, administer benefits and leave, address compensation questions.
• Identify training needs and coordinate internal/external programs to boost skills and leadership.
• Develop, implement, and review HR policies to ensure legal compliance.
• Maintain confidential employee records and generate regular HR reports.
• Create programs to boost morale, engagement, and retention.
