Job summary

Metrobank is seeking a Payments Officer to ensure accurate settlement of outward payments, domestic and international transfers, and remittances in line with Bank policies and BSP regulations.

The role covers handling MT110 checks for USD FXDD and issuance of third‑currency drafts, with a focus on accuracy, controls, and responsiveness in a busy Operations Group.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Payments Operations, Remittance Operations, or FX Payments in a bank.
• Hands-on experience with SWIFT payment processing and telegraphic transfers.
• Strong knowledge of AMLA/KYC and BSP regulatory requirements.
• Experience in transaction verification, authorization, reconciliation, and controls.
• Willingness to work onsite and support business continuity.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct and timely settlement of outward domestic and foreign TT/remittances through electronic systems per policy and BSP/AMLA rules.
• Handle centralized funding and issuance of MT110 Advice of Check (USD FXDD) and third currency foreign drafts.

Position Title:

Payments Officer

Job Summary:

• Responsible for ensuring correct and timely settlement of all outward domestic and foreign telegraphic transfer (TT)/remittances through the appropriate electronic systems in accordance with established policies of the Bank and related BSP regulations including AMLA/KYC.
• Handles the centralized funding and issuance of MT110 Advice of Check of USD foreign demand drafts (USD FXDD). Handles the issuance and funding of third currency foreign demand draft.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in Payments Operations, Remittance Operations, or Foreign Exchange Payments within a bank.
• Hands-on experience with SWIFT payment processing and telegraphic transfers.
• Strong knowledge of AMLA/KYC and BSP regulatory requirements.
• Experience in transaction verification, authorization, reconciliation, and operational controls.
• Willingness to work onsite and support business continuity requirements.
