The role focuses on accurately posting insurance payments, adjustments, and denials, while ensuring billing accuracy and timely updates to patient accounts. Responsibilities include reviewing EOBs/ERAs, resolving discrepancies, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with AR and billing teams to resolve claims.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in healthcare revenue cycle, payment posting, medical billing, or related experience.
• Experience supporting behavioral health, mental health, or substance use disorder treatment services billing environments.
• Knowledge in insurance payment posting, contractual adjustments, and denial codes.

Responsibilities

• Post insurance payments, adjustments, and denials accurately.

The Payment Posting Specialist is responsible for accurately posting insurance payments, contractual adjustments, and denials to patient accounts while ensuring billing accuracy and timely account updates.

Responsibilities:

• Post insurance payments, adjustments, and denials accurately.
• Review and interpret EOBs and ERAs from various payers.
• Identify and resolve payment discrepancies and posting errors.
• Maintain accurate patient account records and documentation.
• Collaborate with AR and billing teams on claim resolution.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, payer guidelines, and procedures.
