Job summary

Optum, a UnitedHealth Group Company, is seeking a Patient Scheduling Advocate in the Philippines to help patients schedule and manage appointments for physicians and imaging services. You will be the primary contact for inquiries, ensuring accurate coordination and a positive patient experience within a healthcare BPO environment.

Qualifications

• Medical allied course graduate (No BPO experience are accepted)
• Highschool and undergraduates (At least 6 months of BPO healthcare experience)
• Strong verbal communication skills in English
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to handle sensitive patient concerns
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systems
• Should be willing to work night shifts and onsite in Alabang

Responsibilities

• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments for physician visits and medical imaging procedures such as MRI, CT Scan, Mammogram, and other diagnostic services
• Handle inbound and outbound patient calls professionally and empathetically
• Assist patients with general inquiries, including appointment details, preparation instructions, and follow-ups
• Send messages to healthcare providers on behalf of patients as requested
• Verify patient demographics and appointment information accurately
• Document all interactions clearly in scheduling or healthcare systems
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines and company policies
• Meet defined productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction metrics
