Job summary

Optum is seeking a Patient Scheduling Advocate to coordinate physician and imaging appointments in a healthcare BPO setting. You will be the primary contact for patient inquiries, ensuring accurate scheduling and a positive patient experience.

The role requires English communication, sensitivity to patient concerns, and willingness to work night shifts onsite in Alabang. Healthcare account experience is preferred, with comprehensive benefits and career development.

Qualifications

• Medical allied course graduate; No BPO experience accepted.
• High school or undergraduate with at least 6 months of BPO healthcare experience.
• Strong verbal communication skills in English.
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to handle sensitive patient concerns.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systems.
• Willing to work night shifts and onsite in Alabang.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments for physician visits and imaging.
• Handle inbound and outbound patient calls professionally and empathetically.
• Assist patients with general inquiries, including appointment details, preparation instructions, and follow-ups.
• Send messages to healthcare providers on behalf of patients as requested.
• Verify patient demographics and appointment information accurately.
• Document all interactions clearly in scheduling or healthcare systems.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines and company policies.
• Meet defined productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction metrics.

Education
