Optum is recruiting a Patient Scheduling Advocate to support scheduling for physicians and imaging services in a healthcare BPO setup. The role serves as the primary contact for patients, ensuring accurate coordination and exceptional service.

The Patient Scheduling Advocate is responsible for assisting patients with scheduling and managing appointments for physicians and medical imaging services. This role serves as a primary point of contact for patient inquiries and concerns, ensuring accurate appointment coordination and excellent patient experience within a healthcare BPO environment.
Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments for physician visits and medical imaging procedures such as MRI, CT Scan, Mammogram, and other diagnostic services
Handle inbound and outbound patient calls professionally and empathetically
Assist patients with general inquiries, including appointment details, preparation instructions, and follow-ups
Send messages to healthcare providers on behalf of patients as requested
Verify patient demographics and appointment information accurately
Document all interactions clearly in scheduling or healthcare systems
Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines and company policies
Meet defined productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction metrics
Medical allied course graduate or undergraduate (required)
At least 6 months of BPO experience
Strong verbal communication skills in English
Customer-focused mindset with the ability to handle sensitive patient concerns
Basic computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systems
Should be willing to work night shifts and onsite in Alabang
Experience with US healthcare accounts
Familiarity with healthcare scheduling or EHR systems
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work in shifting schedules, including holidays or weekends
