Job summary

Unity Communications in the Philippines is seeking a BPO - Collection Patient Advocate for an onsite setup. You will resolve medical billing issues and work with patients to ensure fair, compassionate collections.

The role involves handling high call volumes, adhering to HIPAA and related regulations, and collaborating with management to improve processes in a full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Must be computer proficient.
• Willingness to ask patients to pay medical bills.
• Availability to work 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CDT, Mon–Fri and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. CDT Sat.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and flexibility.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and multitask with high accuracy.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA, FDCPA, and Red Flag regulations.
• Professional attitude and composure in urgent or confrontational situations.
• Effective critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent time management and ability to work independently or with coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws and company standards for patient-friendly collections.
• Handle a high volume of inbound/outbound calls with daily targets.
• Maintain update, talk time, and no-account-up percentages.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with patients.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Identify learning needs with manager and use resources to improve.
• Collaborate with other departments to support client success.
• Make improvements based on performance feedback.
• Own actions and outcomes within the department.
• Escalate patient complaints as applicable.
• Represent the client’s mission and values in all settings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
