Job summary

The Parts Manager handles and manages all areas of the Parts Department and provides top customer satisfaction through prompt supply of parts and accessories, ensuring dealer profitability.

The role emphasizes supervising personnel, maintaining pricing and catalogs, and coordinating with other departments to optimize operations in the Parts department.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must be a graduate of any 4-year course.
  • SAP user is a must.
  • At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably Supervisor/5 Yrs & Up Experienced Employee specialized in Engineering - Mechanical/Automotive or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the profit of parts department through sales of parts and accessories. This is accomplished through advertising and merchandising programs as well as having personnel capable and motivated to satisfy customers’ needs and desires.
  • Manage department expenses so profit is realized.
  • Establish and maintain parts customer relation policy; customer follow-up, return policy, complaining handling.
  • Recruit, hire and orient department team members using dealer personnel management system.
  • Establish and maintain practices designed to train, develop and motivate department team members.
  • Establish and maintain purchase and ordering policy.
  • Maintain parts facility and equipment in effective working condition. Establish equipment maintenance schedules where necessary. Advise management on equipment needed for the department.
  • Establish and maintain shipping / receiving policy including delivery routes and timetable.
  • Use inventory control system processing procedures and management reports that permit prompt, complete and accurate feedback of inventory condition.
  • Use job qualifications work standards and job description to monitor and measure individual employees’ effectiveness.
  • Maintains catalog, etc price schedules and other technical bulletins that are available to employees.
  • Conduct periodic staff meetings.
  • Coordinate with other departments.

  • 8. Establish and maintain shipping / receiving policy including delivery routes and timetable. Check-in and inspection, pick up a schedule, etc.

  • 9. Use inventory control system processing procedures and management reports that permit prompt, complete and accurate feedback of inventory condition (turnover, obsolescence, part aging, guide quantities, lost sales, etc.

  • 10. Use job qualifications work standards and job description to monitor and measure individual employees’ effectiveness. This information is then fed back to team members on formal annual/semi-annual appraisal.

  • 11. Maintains catalog, etc price schedules and other technical bulletins that are available to employees.

  • 12. Conduct periodic staff meetings.

  • 13. Coordinate with other departments
