Job summary

REMOTE STAFF, INC. is seeking a part-time Website Developer to build and maintain responsive websites across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. The role is 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM AEST.

You will translate design concepts into functional web pages using HTML, CSS, PHP, and WordPress, collaborating with the Administration Assistant and Creative Director to deliver quality projects, performance, and SEO readiness.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Website Developer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and PHP.
• Experience with WordPress and page builders (Elementor, WP Bakery).
• Skilled in building responsive, mobile-friendly websites.
• Familiar with hosting, DNS, SSL, backups and basic security.
• Able to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, build, and maintain responsive websites for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
• Turn design concepts and mockups into functional web pages.
• Implement updates, new features, landing pages, forms and content changes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website errors, bugs, and broken links.
• Develop interfaces using HTML, CSS, PHP and JavaScript.
• Build sites on CMS platforms like WordPress, Webflow or Shopify.
• Improve loading speed, responsiveness and overall performance.
• Apply basic technical SEO: structure, metadata, URLs, images.
• Collaborate with Administration Assistant and Creative Director.
• Offer technical recommendations on functionality, usability and performance.
