Job summary

Winning Assistants is seeking a part-time Medical Scribe and Healthcare Billing Specialist to support real-time scribing, documentation, and billing for U.S.-based healthcare clients. You will handle EMR/EHR entries, referrals, and appointment coordination from a remote setup in the Philippines, with English communication as a key requirement.

The role emphasizes accuracy, HIPAA/privacy awareness, and collaboration with clinical and billing teams.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in medical scribing or healthcare administration.
• Experience with medical scribing and clinical documentation.
• Experience using EMR/EHR systems; Residex preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance verification, prior authorizations, claims processing, and billing workflows.
• Experience supporting a U.S.-based healthcare organization.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.
• NBI/Local Police Clearance before onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time medical scribing and note-taking during patient appointments.
• Review, organize, and summarize clinical notes.
• Enter, update, audit, and maintain patient records using Residex EMR/EHR.
• Coordinate patient referrals and follow up with providers and facilities.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.
• Manage inbound and outbound calls professionally.
• Assist with staff training coordination and documentation.
• Submit claims and follow up on pending, denied, or unpaid claims.
• Process billing reconciliation and account audits.
• Identify missed charges and unbilled services.
• Assist with Minnesota Medicaid billing and documentation.
• Maintain organized records and workflows.
• Coordinate with clinical, nursing, billing, and admin teams.
