You will mainly handle Australian payroll, GST compliance, payroll tax lodgements, and superannuation tasks while maintaining precise financial records.

The ideal candidate thrives working independently, takes initiative, and communicates clearly when clarification is needed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Xero and its features.
• Experience handling Australian payroll and related tasks.
• Accounting or bookkeeping qualification required.

We’re looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to support an Australian business with bookkeeping, payroll, and tax-related tasks.

The ideal candidate should have solid experience with Xero and a good understanding of Australian payroll, GST, payroll tax, and superannuation requirements.

We’re looking for someone who can work independently, take initiative, and isn't afraid to ask questions when clarification is needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle Australian payroll processing.
• Assist with payroll tax lodgements.
• Manage GST-related bookkeeping and records.
• Handle superannuation-related tasks.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Ensure bookkeeping and payroll tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Xero, including its technical features and functions(a MUST).
• Previous experience handling Australian payroll.
• Accounting or bookkeeping qualifications.
• Experience lodging payroll tax.
• Good knowledge and understanding of Australian superannuation.
• Knowledge of GST and relevant requirements.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable asking questions when needed.
