Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Multimedia Arts, Art Education, Art History, Cultural Studies, Humanities, or related field.
• Teaching, research, or industry experience in art or related creative fields.
• Strong understanding of art appreciation, contemporary art, visual culture, and artistic practices.
• Ability to facilitate critical discussions about artwork, artist, audience, institution, and value.
• Knowledge of Philippine art and contemporary practices is an advantage.
• Experience guiding students through creative projects or portfolio development.
• Passion for mentoring college students and developing critical thinking and visual literacy.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate lectures and discussions encouraging reflection and appreciation of art using curated keywords and prompts.
• Introduce students to diverse perspectives on art and its contexts (artwork, artist, audience, institution, value).
• Guide students in analyzing artworks within cultural, social, historical, and contemporary contexts.
• Encourage students to articulate perspectives and engage in meaningful discussions about art.
• Develop engaging learning experiences through lectures, visual analysis, discussions, and creative exercises.
• Guide students in conceptualizing and developing their own artwork based on ideas explored in the course.
• Provide feedback and mentorship throughout the students' creative processes.
• Document and reflect on the creative process through a process book.
• Encourage experimentation, critical thinking, creativity, and reflection in art development.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, learner-centered classroom environment for critical and creative engagement.
