Responsibilities

• Assist the Delivery Driver in transporting pet products.
• Load and unload pet products ensuring accuracy.
• Report damages or discrepancies during transport.
• Assist in verifying items before departure and upon delivery.
• Help collect signed delivery receipts and proof of delivery as required.
• Support the driver in maintaining cleanliness of the delivery vehicle.
• Monitor condition of pet products during transport and report any damage.
• Assist in basic customer interactions related to deliveries with professionalism.
• Report delivery delays, shortages, or damaged items to supervisor.
• Assist in warehouse tasks during non-delivery hours (sorting, packing, labeling, staging).

Position Description

The Delivery Helper assists the Delivery Driver in the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of pet products, particularly cat litter, dog food, and other pet-related supplies, as well as general goods to customers, retail partners, and distributors. This role focuses on proper handling of pet products, loading and unloading assistance, and ensuring product quality and customer satisfaction during deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Delivery Driver in transporting pet products such as cat litter, dog food, pet supplies, and other general goods to assigned delivery locations
• Load and unload pet products, ensuring correct quantities based on delivery invoices and instructions
• Properly handle and secure heavy items, including pet food sacks and cat litter packs to prevent damage, spillage, or contamination
• Assist in verifying items before departure and upon delivery
• Help collect signed delivery receipts and proof of delivery as required
• Support the driver in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the delivery vehicle
• Monitor the condition of pet products during transport and report any damage or discrepancies immediately
• Assist in basic customer interactions related to pet product deliveries, maintaining a professional and courteous attitude
• Help report delivery delays, shortages, or damaged items to the supervisor
• Assist in warehouse tasks during non-delivery hours, including sorting, packing, labeling, and staging pet products for delivery.

Qualifications

• At least a high school graduate; a vocational course is an advantage
• Experience as a delivery helper or warehouse staff is preferred but not required
• Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy pet food sacks, cat litter bags, and boxed goods
• Familiarity with local areas and delivery routes is an advantage
• Willing to work extended hours or overtime when necessary
• Honest, dependable, hardworking, and able to follow instructions
• Able to work well with a team and under minimal supervision
