• Transportation of Goods:Safely operate and drive company vehicles (e.g., light trucks, vans, closed vans) to transport products, materials, and equipment to and from specified locations.
• Loading and Unloading:Assist in the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring items are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
• Vehicle Maintenance:Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks (e.g., oil, water, tires, brakes) before and after trips to ensure the vehicle is always in good working condition. Report any mechanical issues or defects to the Fleet Manager immediately.
• Documentation:Accurately complete and maintain all necessary paperwork, including delivery logs, mileage records, cargo manifests, and vehicle inspection reports.
• Route Planning:Plan and follow the most efficient routes for daily deliveries, considering traffic and weather conditions to meet delivery deadlines.
• Safety and Compliance:Strictly adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Department of Transportation (LTO) regulations. Ensure all cargo is transported in compliance with legal weight limits and securement standards.
• Customer Interaction:Provide professional and courteous service during deliveries, obtaining signatures for received goods and addressing basic customer inquiries.
• License:Must possess a valid Professional Driver's License (Restriction 1, 2, 3).
• Experience:Proven experience as a professional driver, preferably in a logistics, delivery, or distribution environment.
• Knowledge:Excellent knowledge of area roads, highways, and traffic laws. Familiarity with routes in [e.g., CALABARZON, Metro Manila] is a plus.
• Physical Fitness:Ability to lift and carry heavy packages (e.g., up to 50 lbs / 25 kg) and load/unload cargo.
• Traffic Record:Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Attributes:Punctual, reliable, trustworthy, and safety-oriented. Must have a strong sense of responsibility.
• Other:Good communication skills and a professional appearance.
