Job summary

MEGA PRIME FOODS INCORPORATED is seeking a Production & Development Officer (Packaging) to lead packaging development projects from concept through trials and implementation, ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

You will coordinate with QA, Production, Supply Chain, and suppliers to drive timely execution, document results, and pursue continuous improvement in packaging performance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Packaging Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 3-4 years of experience in packaging development, preferably in FMCG or food manufacturing.
• Knowledge of packaging materials, testing methods, production processes, and quality requirements.
• Experience in packaging trials, material evaluation, and supplier coordination is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Packaging development: Execute packaging development projects from concept, material evaluation, testing, trials, and implementation.
• Material testing & evaluation: Conduct and coordinate testing and qualification of packaging materials to ensure functionality, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Production trials: Support packaging trials and scale-up activities, identifying and resolving technical issues during implementation.
• Quality & compliance: Ensure packaging specifications and development activities comply with quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Cross-functional coordination: Collaborate with QA, Production, Supply Chain, Marketing, and suppliers to ensure timely project execution.
• Documentation: Maintain packaging specifications, test results, trial reports, and other technical documentation.
• Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to improve packaging performance, cost, sustainability, and production efficiency.
