Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Golf Course Manager to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. You will oversee daily golf course operations, maintenance, and groundskeeping, ensuring safe, playable conditions and compliance with safety standards.

The role requires supervisory experience, a turf management background, and the ability to travel internationally with a valid passport. Work may include extended hours and special events at a remote overseas site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Turfgrass Management, Horticulture, Agriculture, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Five or more years of experience in golf course maintenance, grounds maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related field.
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Experience with irrigation systems, landscaping equipment, and turf management is highly desirable.
• Must be able to travel internationally with a valid passport and obtain visas as required.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and deploy.
• Must read, speak, and comprehend English to perform contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise daily operations of golf course maintenance and groundskeeping.
• Receive, review, and assign maintenance requests and work orders.
• Schedule and supervise maintenance personnel to ensure timely completion.
• Oversee mowing, trimming, edging, fertilization, irrigation, landscaping, and turf maintenance.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair golf course infrastructure, including cart paths, parking areas, and course amenities.
• Monitor irrigation and drainage systems to prevent flooding and promote healthy turf.
• Train and supervise grounds maintenance staff on equipment operation and safety procedures.
• Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies, equipment, chemicals, and irrigation materials.
• Prepare weekly and monthly operation maintenance reports.
• Support special events and tournaments with optimal course conditions.
