Job summary

MasTec Network Solutions is seeking an Outside Plant Engineer to oversee projects from concept to completion. You will manage a high-volume portfolio, coordinate with clients and field teams, and use OFS/P2 and Smartsheet to track tasks and milestones.

The ideal candidate has strong project coordination, organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Teams and Outlook. Experience in telecommunications construction, estimating, as-builts and billing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong project coordination, organizational, and communication skills; ability to manage many projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Teams, Outlook and project tracking systems is required; experience with OFS/P2, Smartsheet, telecommunications construction, OSP engineering, estimating, as-builts, and billing processes is preferred.
• Detail-oriented with ability to communicate directly with clients and field personnel; able to take ownership from initial assignment through construction completion and billing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects from concept to completion for the Outside Plant Engineer role.
• Provide end-to-end project management support for the Genesis program; track tasks in OFS/P2 and Smartsheet, coordinate field walkouts, prepare construction packages and cost estimates.
• Schedule and participate in client meetings, maintain project status updates, upload as-builts and closeout documents, and track final billing.
