Rappler Inc. is seeking an experienced OSINT Researcher to join our digital forensics team to uncover disinformation trends and provide actionable intelligence for editorial and data consultancy services.

You will work with editorial units, revenue teams, and brand partners to gather, analyze, and visualize complex datasets, translating findings for non-technical stakeholders and driving real-world impact in digital journalism.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in digital forensics, OSINT research, or data-driven investigative research.
• Proficiency with OSINT tools and managing multiple data sources to generate actionable insights.
• Fluent in English and Tagalog; strong communication of complex information.

Responsibilities

• Execute digital forensics and OSINT research for revenue and editorial use cases using established methodologies.
• Monitor and analyze research trends from internal, academic, and industry sources to improve methods.
• Gather and collate data for disinformation research, coordinating with government agencies and institutional sources.
• Support processes for capturing, processing, storing, and analyzing data to generate high-impact stories and research papers.
• Propose, write, and help produce intelligence reports, research papers, and marketing content for data consultancy services.
• Design and implement data visualizations and other technical data projects using the latest available technologies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to translate research findings into actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Communicate research clearly across formats to internal and external audiences.
• Lead the acquisition of priority datasets related to digital media research to support revenue and editorial units.
