Job summary

One Commerce (Int'l.) Corporation seeks an experienced Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to implement and maintain OHS programs across ICT, telecom, and power projects in Metro Manila. You will lead risk assessments, conduct safety inspections, and ensure compliance with Philippine regulations and ISO 45001:2018 standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, relevant OHS certifications, and at least seven years of total experience, including five years on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• OHS/Safety certifications required.
• ISO 45001:2018 Implementation Certification required.
• At least 7 years total experience in ICT, Telecommunications, or Power Sector.
• At least 5 years of experience in similar OHS projects.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety practices and risk assessment.
• Knowledge of Philippine OHS regulations is an advantage.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to conduct site visits and work in project environments.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain occupational health and safety programs and procedures.

• Conduct regular workplace and project site safety inspections and risk assessments.

• Identify hazards and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive measures.

• Ensure compliance with applicable occupational health and safety laws, regulations, and company policies.

• Support the implementation of ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.

• Prepare and maintain safety plans, risk assessments, inspection reports, and other OHS documentation.

• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses and recommend corrective actions.

• Conduct safety orientations, toolbox meetings, and OHS training for employees and project personnel.

• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and other stakeholders on safety requirements.

• Monitor compliance with safety procedures and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

• Assist in emergency preparedness, response planning, and drills.

• Provide regular OHS reports and updates to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or a related field.

• Relevant OHS/Safety certifications required.

• ISO 45001:2018 Implementation Certification required.

• At least 7 years of total professional experience in the ICT, Telecommunications, or Power Sector.

• At least 5 years of experience in similar OHS projects.

• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety practices, risk assessment, and safety management systems.

• Knowledge of applicable Philippine occupational safety and health regulations is an advantage.

• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.

• Willingness to conduct site visits and work in project environments.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in telecommunications, ICT infrastructure, data centers, or power projects.

• Experience implementing or maintaining ISO 45001:2018 systems.

• Experience working with contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.

• Familiarity with safety requirements for electrical, telecommunications, and critical infrastructure projects.
