JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Occupations Safety and Health (OSH)Analyst will drive compliance to corporate standards and define andimplement GU owned standards supporting the protection of health & safetyof our people & other stakeholders in accordance with local laws ®ulations, within a small size & low complexity location or a smallnumber of locations within their country, city or regional area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand alllocal safety codes and requirements (OSH, Fire Code, National Building Code,etc)
- Direct andmonitor compliance to local occupational health laws; assesses any issuesconfronted and formulate a solution which is not only functional buteconomically feasible and practicable.
- Work with HR todefine, implement and facilitate the process for assessing occupational healthmanagement system and develop OSH programs as relevant to the statutoryrequirement.
- Identifyopportunities for program and standards improvements, and work with localWorkplace Solutions teams to develop and implement solutions and outcomes.
- Develop andmanage vendor relationships as needed.
- Support globalinitiatives to establish corporate occupational health standards and principles
- Monitor, trackand report budget, and other financial reporting activities
- Enforce adherenceto policies, laws and regulations governing the health and safety of employees.
- Review, evaluate,and analyze work environments and programs & procedures to control,eliminate, and prevent disease or injury caused by chemical, physical, andbiological agents or ergonomic factors. Serves as secretary to the Health andSafety Committee and comply to Bureau of Working Condition (BWC) and/orDepartment of Labor and Employment (DOLE) reportorial requirements.
- Acts in advisorycapacity on safety and health matters for the guidance of all employees.
- Conducts healthand safety training programs, health and safety inspections, gather data incases of incidents/accidents together with other members of OSH Committee.
- Maintains anefficient accident record system and coordinates actions taken to eliminateaccident causes.
- Provideassistance to government agencies in the conduct of safety and healthinspection, accident investigation or any other related programs.
- Updates contactinformation of key personnel of both internal and external team resources.
- MaintainsConfidentiality of sensitive documents.
- Other activitiesthat may require by the Team Lead for other special projects.
TO QUALIFY:
- Graduate ofBachelor’s Degree course, preferable Mathematics, Engineering course or otherrelated fields
- Must have atleast 2 years of relevant work experience in Occupational Safety andHealth
- Good analyticalskills – can come up and interpret data, and presentation skills
- Training in BOSH(Basic Occupational Safety & Health) and LCM (Loss Control Management) isan advantage
- Must be willingto be assigned in Boni, Mandaluyong City
