Job summary

Philtech Inc. is seeking an experienced Oracle Essbase specialist to design, develop, and maintain cubes and applications across finance and planning domains.

You will provide day-to-day support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity across environments. In this role, you will build calculation scripts, load rules, and MDX queries, manually load data from sources, and collaborate with business analysts and finance teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Essbase
• Strong understanding of multidimensional database concepts and OLAP technologies
• Proficiency in writing calculation scripts, load rules, and MDX queries
• Experience with Oracle Hyperion Planning or other EPM tools is a plus
• Knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting processes

Job description

Design, develop, and modify/maintain Oracle Essbase cubes and applications.

Provide day-to-day support for Essbase environments, including troubleshooting and performance tuning.

Build and optimize calculation scripts, load rules, and report scripts.

Manually load data from sources, such as GCP-UDP

Collaborate with business analysts and finance teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Integrate Essbase with other Oracle EPM modules and data sources.

Perform performance tuning and optimization of Essbase applications.

Provide day-to-day support for Essbase applications, including issue resolution and user assistance.

Monitor system performance and ensure data integrity across environments.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data loads, calculations, and reporting.

Coordinate with infrastructure teams for patching, upgrades, and environment maintenance.

Document support procedures and maintain knowledge base for recurring issues

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience and proficiency in Oracle Essbase
• Strong understanding of multidimensional database concepts and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) technologies
• Proficiency in writing calculation scripts, load rules, and Multi dimensional Expressions (MDX) queries
• Experience with Oracle Hyperion Planning, Financial Management, or other EPM tools is a plus
• Knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting processes
