Job summary

Santen in Manila seeks a Medical Science Liaison to establish and maintain relationships with KOLs, HCPs, and stakeholders. The role focuses on medical expertise, education, and collaboration across functions to advance ophthalmology products and research.

The MSL will disseminate up-to-date scientific information, respond to medical inquiries, and support clinical study planning and investigator recruitment. Strong communication and regulatory understanding are essential.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in life sciences (e.g., MD, PharmD, MPH, PhD).
• 2+ years in pharma/biotech industry, clinical practice, or academia.
• Strong scientific acumen and ability to interpret complex clinical data.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with KOLs and healthcare professionals.
• Understanding of regulatory guidelines and compliance in pharma.
• Collaborative experience across cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Fluent English, spoken & written.
• Willingness to travel between Malaysia and Singapore.

Responsibilities

• KOL Engagement and Relationship Management: build and maintain relationships with KOLs, HCPs, and academia.
• Scientific Communication and Education: disseminate scientific information and respond to medical inquiries.
• Clinical Research Support: provide medical input on protocols and data interpretation.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: support medical affairs plans with marketing, sales, and regulatory.
• Compliance and Regulatory: ensure activities comply with laws and company policies.
