Job Description
Operating expense (Opex) processing and reporting activities.
The key requirements for the role are outlined below:
Key Accountabilities
- Support Opex management across Corporate functions, including identifying key value drivers and providing financial performance insights.
- Perform month-end financial accounting activities, including journals and analysis of key monthly performance drivers.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for Corporate balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with the annual budget and monthly forecasting processes for Corporate functions.
- Prepare monthly management reports, variance analysis and other financial reporting as required.
- Support internal and external audit activities, including collation and assessment of outstanding matters.
- Manage the Incident Insurance receivable and payable accounts, ensuring alignment with the Insurance Manager and providing periodic movement analysis for reporting.
Qualifications and Requirements
Skills & Experience
- 2-3 years’ accounting experience, preferably in a financial or management accounting role.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Ability to understand business issues and provide commercially relevant insights.
- Willingness to constructively challenge the status quo.
- Strong ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
- Exposure to PeopleSoft, TM1 and/or Anaplan would be preferred but is not essential.
