Job summary

OceanaGold (Philippines) Inc. is seeking an Operator - Process Plant at the Didipio mine on Luzon Island to optimize plant performance while upholding safety and standard operating procedures.

The role involves working with the process operations team to ensure efficient, safe production of gold and copper in a regulated environment. Candidates should have strong experience with mobile equipment and a valid driver’s license, with TESDA certifications considered advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with readiness for mining operations.
• Experience with mobile equipment operation is preferred.
• Professional Driver License with restriction B, B1 or B2 as a minimum.
• TESDA Driving NC II and NC III are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic technical support to Process Ops and Process team.
• Conduct risk assessments for mining operation and evaluate potential risks.
• Recognize hazards and near misses and respond to mitigate harm.
• Comply with all department procedures.
• Raise issues during routine maintenance activities in a timely manner.

Job Description

The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper.Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.

OceanaGold is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Operator - Process Plant tooptimize performance of all operating circuits within the plant, while working safely and efficiently, by following sound operating philosophies and standard operating procedures and actively participating in the departmental training scheme to ensure optimization of the plant occurs at all times.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Provides basic technical support to Process Ops and Process team
• Conduct risk assessments for mining operation, identifying, and evaluating potential risks and their impacts
• Recognizes common hazards, unsafe conditions, and near misses that occur at work and respondseffectively to mitigate harm to individuals and damage to property
• Complies with all department procedures
• Raises issues in performing routine maintenance activities in a timely manner

Educational Background

• At least High school graduate.

Work Experience and Background

• Knowledge and skill in the utilization of mobile equipment such as Skid Steer Loader, Forklift, Telehandler and Overhead Crane
• Knowledge in Pay Loader operation and Haul Truck operation is an advantage.
• With previous experience with Mining, Production, Manufacturing Environment is an advantage.

Specialization/License

• Professional Driver License with restriction B, B1 or B2 as a minimum.
