Job summary

Stamford Land Corporation Ltd is seeking an Operations Officer based at Pasir Panjang PSA Terminal to supervise vessel and shore cargo operations at Pasir Panjang Port and Jurong Port, ensuring safety and efficiency in every turn-around. You will coordinate terminal activities, monitor vessel movements, and uphold high cargo safety standards.

The role requires at least 2 years in cargo or port operations, the ability to lift heavy items, and willingness to work long and irregular hours,

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in cargo or port operations.
• Ability to lift heavy items and stand for prolonged hours.
• You will be required to work long and irregular hours including late nights, weekends and public holidays.

Job description

Based at the Pasir Panjang PSA Terminal, the Operations Officer will be responsible for supervising vessel and shore cargo operations at Pasir Panjang Port / Jurong Port, ensuring all activities are carried out smoothly and safely at the quickest possible turn-around time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising daily cargo handling operations, including, terminal activities.

• Collaborating with workers to ensure efficient dispatch and uphold vessel and cargo operations safety standards.

• Identifying and resolving operational issues by working with workers, and authorities.

• Monitoring vessel activities, addressing any challenges to maintain smooth and secure operations.

• Provide on-the-job training to stevedores and suppliers to maintain high cargo safety and quality standards.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Must be experienced working in Port.

• Strong knowledge in vessel operations, cargo handling, and logistics procedures. (Port & Terminal Operations)

• Cargo Operations Supervision

• Stevedore management & SOP compliance.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in cargo or port operations.

• Ability to lift heavy stuff and stand for prolonged hours.
