We are seeking an Operational Risk Management Officer to support the bank's Operational Risk Management Framework. The role focuses on risk identification, assessment, monitoring, reporting, and governance activities, including RCSA facilitation, KRI monitoring, operational risk event management, outsourcing risk oversight, and business continuity risk management.
Job Description
- Supports the Risk Management Unit by helping implement and maintain the bank’s risk management framework, policies, and methodologies in line with regulatory and industry standards.
- Assists business units in the identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation of operational risks through the execution of Operational Risk Management programs including RCSA, KRI monitoring, risk event management, and control assessments.
- Performs independent operational risk assessments, evaluates control effectiveness, identifies residual risks, and supports the implementation of Outsourcing and Third-Party Risk Management frameworks.
- Coordinates with different departments to oversee outsourcing risks, maintain vendor records, and ensure timely resolution of audit findings and compliance matters.
- Supports governance and business resilience initiatives by preparing risk reports, assisting with Risk Committee activities, promoting risk awareness and assist in implementing Business Continuity Management (BCM) programs.
- Performs other ad hoc tasks assigned by Management to fulfill organizational and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any business-related course preferably Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or other related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a bank, consumer finance, or micro finance institution in the Philippines and at least 1 year in Operational Risk Management or Business Continuity Management.
- Knowledgeable of applicable regulations and practices within the financial services industry, including familiarity with relevant BSP regulations on risk management, such as BSP Circular No. 900, 951, 1137, and 1203.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with audiences at varying levels of seniority.
- Strong analytical skills necessary to identify key process gaps, validate controls, consult with partners/clients, analyze information, and develop compliant policies and procedures.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Advanced Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint)
- Responsible, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.

- Experience working in a start-up environment / FinTech is an advantage.
