Job summary

Prudential, known as Pru Life UK, seeks an experienced Risk Operations Manager to lead enterprise risk practices, risk assessments, and incident management. You will coordinate with Group Risk and first-line units, ensuring robust controls and timely reporting across the organization.

The role requires a strong risk background, stakeholder engagement, and a drive to embed risk culture. A Bachelor’s degree and relevant certifications are preferred, with 3–5 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in risk-related field is required.
• Certification in ORM/FRM or equivalent preferred.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise risk frameworks and practices.
• Understanding of risk taxonomy, risk appetite, RCSA, issues & incidents management.
• Proficient in producing structured reports and presentations.
• Able to map processes, ensure clarity and accuracy.
• Capable of creating training materials and enterprise-wide risk awareness.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify root causes.
• Knowledge of risk assessment techniques, tools and mapping methodologies.
• Effective stakeholder management and clear communication across levels.
• People-management and relationship-building skills are desirable.
• 3–5 years of experience in risk management, QA, audit or related fields.
• Experience with controls testing and audit engagements.

Responsibilities

• Governance: review, enhance, and maintenance of operational risk procedures and risk appetite alignment.
• Oversee implementation of risk policies and appetite thresholds across units.
• Prepare risk reports and dashboards for Risk Committee and senior management.
• Collaborate with Group Risk and stakeholders to keep methods up-to-date.
