Job Summary: The Operations Platform and L3 Management Head ensures the stability and reliable day-to-day performance of multiple business- and operations-critical platforms. The role serves as the key bridge between business stakeholders and delivery teams by ensuring requirements and production issues are clearly defined, prioritized, and validated before handoff to development or implementation. The Head also ensures user stories and acceptance criteria are translated into clear technical direction for developers, and that delivered solutions meet agreed quality standards and timelines.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Leads and oversees 3–5 assigned platforms in the production (BAU) environment, ensuring service stability, performance, and operational readiness.
- Coordinates and drives end-to-end resolution of production incidents and problems with L2/L3 support teams—from triage and solution design through closure, documentation, and post-incident actions.
- Translates business requirements into technical guidance for developers, clarifying scope, approach, and implementation details to ensure delivery aligns with defined business acceptance criteria.
- Presents and defends change requests, risk assessments, implementation plans, and rollback strategies to the Change Management Board (CMB) as required.
- Leads the delivery and implementation of 1–2 platform-related projects (based on bandwidth and prioritization), ensuring timelines, dependencies, and technical outcomes are met.
- Supports Solution Architects (SAs) and Delivery Leads (DLs) in the creation and refinement of Technical Implementation Plans (TIP), including sequencing, environment readiness, and deployment approach.
- Communicates technical plans and requirements to project sponsors and key stakeholders, providing clear updates on technical activities, risks, dependencies, and required decisions.
- Reviews and validates production deployment readiness and completion of deployment requirements in partnership with the Delivery Lead, ensuring all operational, security, and governance criteria are satisfied before go-live.
Qualifications
8-10 years' experience in banking systems.
