Job summary

COMMSEC INC. is seeking a licensed electrical engineer to oversee the operation and maintenance of utility-scale solar power plants.

You will ensure safety compliance, supervise technicians, perform QC assessments, and manage documentation and reporting for ongoing projects. You will determine daily schedules, manage maintenance plans, and lead site safety initiatives while coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring timely progress reports.

Qualifications

• Licensed Electrical Engineer with at least 5 years of experience.
• Can start ASAP.
• Willing to be assigned to Ajuy, Iloilo.

Responsibilities

• Collect data, process work orders and generate summary reports.
• Schedule daily activities and assignments; monitor inventories.
• Investigate accidents and prepare finding reports.
• Supervise installation of PV systems and related grounding/communication systems.
• Document work orders, time logs and emergency schedules.
• Lead safety and accident prevention programs on site.

Job description

Responsible for the operation and maintenance of utility-scale solar power plants in accordance with established standards and procedures; always maintains safety and professionalism.

Responsible for all safety aspects at the site, including Safety Walks in the field;

Responsible for all QC activity on site, performing QC assessments of work by Technicians

Responsible for data collection, work order processing, and summary reports;

Use technical knowledge and experience to optimize site performance;.

Determine daily schedules and assignments for work activities, including execution

Monitor tool and part inventories;

Investigate accidents and injuries, and prepare reports of findings;

Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, improvements, and discharges;

Determine and manage maintenance schedules;

Communicate daily activities to the customer through daily, weekly, monthly reports; Provides guidance, training and direction to subordinates, including setting site and individual goals, and performance standards

Conduct energy audits and assessments to verify solar Photovoltaic (PV) installations

Document existing defects and Implement processes for the installation of solar PV systems and Lead in the resolution of any potential hazards and Monitor the costs incurred and risks involved.

Conduct energy audits and assessments & Perform computer simulations of solar PV energy generation to determine system efficiency and Prepare documents and project progress reports for key stakeholders.

Supervise the installation of lightning protection systems/installation of solar PV and communication systems/site inspections & PV installations/testing and commissioning and grounding systems.

Troubleshoot system problems and resolve issues in a timely manner

Responsible for documentation including, but not limited to; work orders, service orders, time logs, and emergency information schedules

Responsible for Equipment Maintenance and Tool Control Programs

Manages the Site Safety and Accident Prevention Programs

Maintains inventory control of assigned equipment to ensure adequate stock levels

Responsible for all aspects of solar farm operations, including personnel safety, oversee daily work activities, review work schedules, scheduling maintenances, maintaining project availability, and communicating with the management team

Responsible in Documentation of all aspects of solar power plant Documents especially in Operation and Maintenance (O&M ). Manuals and Guidlines, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), work permit and other documents that needed/necessary during the process until completion.
