Job summary

Fortuna Mining Corporation in the Philippines is seeking an experienced Operations Auditor to strengthen controls, compliance, and business performance. You will lead risk-based audits across mine operations, procurement, inventory, and field activities, producing evidence-based reports and actionable recommendations.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant bachelor's degree and 3–5 years in internal or operations audit, with strong Excel skills and willingness to travel to site locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the listed fields.
• 3–5 years of experience in internal or operations audit, compliance or risk management.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and risk-based auditing.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis.
• Willingness to conduct field/site assignments and travel.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Conduct risk-based operational audits and field verification activities
• Evaluate internal controls, processes, and operational compliance
• Identify operational risks, control gaps, irregularities, and improvement opportunities
• Review areas such as mine operations, procurement, inventory, contractors, equipment, fuel, maintenance, and operational expenditures
• Prepare clear and evidence-based audit reports and recommendations
• Monitor corrective actions and verify their effectiveness
• Support continuous improvement and stronger operational risk management

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Internal Auditing, Finance, Business, Engineering, Mining Engineering, or related field
• 3–5 years relevant experience in internal audit, operations audit, compliance, risk management, or process assurance
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and risk-based auditing
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis
• Willingness to conduct field/site assignments and travel as required

An advantage:

• Mining, manufacturing, construction, energy, oil & gas, logistics, or other heavy-industry experience
• CPA, CIA, CFE, CISA, CMA, ISO Auditor, or related certification/training
