Job summary

Thomson Medical is seeking an Operating Theatre Assistant to support nursing and clinical staff in the operating theatre in the Philippines. You will assist with pre- and post-operative patient care, maintain sterile environments, and help prepare and manage surgical equipment and specimens.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE ‘N’ level or Certificate in Health Care.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
• Technical competency in operating theatre procedures and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the surgical team to support operations.
• Assist with pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in operating and equipment rooms.
• Prepare appropriate disinfectants.
• Transport patients as needed.
• Dispatch specimens to relevant departments.
• Prepare and ensure the proper functionality of surgical equipment.
