Job summary

AIA Hong Kong and Macau is seeking an AS/400 OS Administrator to safeguard uptime and optimize AS/400 environments across the organization.

You will oversee incident and problem management, patching, performance monitoring, and coordination with vendors to ensure SLAs are met, while contributing to risk management and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience administering AS/400 OS across enterprise environments.
• Proven ability to manage incidents and root-cause analysis.
• Experience coordinating patching and security updates.
• Strong collaboration with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to assist in budgeting and resource planning.

• AS/400 OS Management: Deploy, configure and maintain AS/400 OS across the organization.
• Manage AS/400 OS-related incidents and problems and perform root-cause analysis.
• Deploy patches and updates to keep AS/400 systems secure and up-to-date.
• Monitor AS/400 performance and prepare leadership reports.

About the Role

• Ensures IT service availability and minimizes the AIA’s business impact of IT service outages through the effective management.
• Contributes to the improvement of user satisfaction with IT services by ensuring that the arrangements remain aligned with business needs and priorities and fit for purpose.
• AS/400 OS Management: Deploy, configure, and maintain of AS/400 operating system across the organization. Ensure stability, security, and performance of AS/400 servers and endpoints.
• Incident & Problem Managements: Manage AS/400 OS-related issues and ensure timely resolution. Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Patch & Update Management: Deploy patching to ensure all AS/400 systems are up-to-date and secure. Coordinate with security teams to address vulnerabilities and apply necessary updates.
• Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor the performance of AS/400 systems, analyze trends, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability. Prepare reports on AS/400 OS support operations, compliance, and risk management to senior leadership.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholder to evaluate, select, and implement AS/400 OS-related tools and technologies. Manage relationships with third-party service providers and ensure SLAs are met.
• Budget & Resource Management: Assist to manage related budget.
