Job summary

Savills Philippines is seeking a Building Engineer for the Lapu-Lapu, Cebu site. This onsite role requires a background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, a professional license, and at least 1 year in property management.

Work six days a week to ensure equipment reliability and tenant satisfaction. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, vendor oversight, fire safety, energy management, and ensuring compliance with permits and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/College Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional License (Passed Board/Professional License Exam).
• At least 1 year of work experience in the property management industry.
• Willing to work on-site.
• Amenable to work six (6) days a week.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment functionality, minimal downtime, and compliance with house rules.
• Monitor utilities, inspect property, and promptly address tenant concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness, order, and security across all property areas.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs for all machinery and equipment.
• Oversee vendor performance, set SLAs/KPIs, and ensure compliance with maintenance contracts.
• Enforce fire safety procedures, inspections, and maintenance of fire protection systems.
• Support energy management initiatives and track cost savings.
• Supervise construction, fit-out works, and ensure compliance with design and permit requirements.
• Keep all permits, documents, and technical reports up to date and ISO-compliant.
• Manage inventory and ensure material availability for operations.
• Lead and coach technical and maintenance teams; ensure efficient communication and coordination.
• Monitor expenses and utility consumption; assist in OPEX and CAPEX management.
• Maintain strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and stakeholders to ensure quality service.
• Recommend operational and technical process improvements.
• Participate in company meetings, training, and professional development activities.
