Job summary

SIDE is seeking an experienced Software QA Tester with a background in basic programming, committed to excellence and collaboration to deliver high‑quality software.

You’ll design and develop features, apply strong testing practices, and leverage your dev experience to ensure performance, stability, and scalability across web and mobile platforms. This is a 6‑month, on‑site contract in Makati City.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manual and API testing.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and JSON/XML parsing.
• Experience with Command Line API Execution and Postman.
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket and Jira for version control and issue tracking.
• PHP source code understanding (Debugging, Code Review).
• Experience drafting test cases and test reports.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Perform unit testing within the BFF layer.
• Conduct API testing, RESTful API validation, and JSON/XML parsing.
• Adept in Command-line and SQL/backend testing.
• Conduct version control using CI/CD tools such as GIT, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Azure.
• Design test strategies for Backend for Frontend and integrated services.
• Create and execute test cases based on specs.
• Manage defect lifecycle, including bug tracking and Jira tickets.
• Provide feedback to development teams to enhance test coverage and stability.
