Job summary

JEBSEN-PTC MARITIME, INC is seeking an Electrician (Domestic) to support container ships on domestic/inter-Island routes. You will perform insulation tests, service lighting systems, and maintain motors, pumps, and switchgear aboard vessels.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine insulation resistance tests (megger testing) on generator windings, motors, and cables to detect moisture ingress or insulation breakdown.
• Troubleshoot and service vessel lighting systems, emergency lighting, searchlights, and navigation signal lights.
• Maintain and overhaul electric motors, starters, control circuits, solenoid valves, and relays powering engine room pumps, winches, and cranes.
• Inspect transformers, frequency converters, and battery storage banks to ensure consistent voltage and backup power availability.
• Monitor, test, and maintain main and emergency generators, main switchboards, circuit breakers, and power distribution panels.
