The Crane Electrical Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic systems on shipboard cranes. The incumbent tests, troubleshoots, and inspects power distribution, PLCs, and instrumentation, consulting with the electrical engineer on repairs and safety matters.
He/she performs preventative maintenance, documents outcomes, supports dry-dock projects, and handles remote and onboard troubleshooting of control systems.
