Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree/certification in water/wastewater treatment is an advantage.
• Valid license or certification in water and/or wastewater treatment operations (if required in your region).
• Experience in water and wastewater treatment operations preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control treatment processes using control panels and manual handling of chemicals.
• Safely handle, prepare, and dose chemicals such as coagulants, flocculants, and chlorine; operate chemical feed pumps and adjust dosages.
• Perform routine maintenance on plant equipment (pumps, motors, blowers, valves, filters) to prevent breakdowns.
• Identify and resolve operational issues and process inefficiencies promptly to minimize downtime.
• Perform daily cleaning and general housekeeping of the facility to maintain a safe environment.
• Respond to alarms, spills, or emergencies to mitigate risks to health and environment.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
