Job summary

Amentum is seeking a UCS Watchstander / DDC Technician to support a U.S. Navy program on the remote island of Diego Garcia.

You will monitor UCS and DDC systems, respond to alarms, maintain logs, and assist with preventive maintenance, testing, and calibration in a demanding, remote environment.

Shift work is rotating to support 24/7 operations and mission-critical infrastructure needs.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in utility monitoring, building automation, or DDC controls.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and building utilities.
• Able to read system displays, alarms and technical docs.
• Proficient with computer-based monitoring systems and data entry.
• Passport valid for international travel and ability to deploy internationally.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate, and support UCS and DDC systems per Navy standards.
• Track system performance, respond to alarms, ensure HVAC/electrical/water reliability.
• Perform routine checks, document status, escalate issues per procedure.
• Assist with preventive maintenance, testing, and calibration as directed.
• Maintain watch logs, update system docs, and support 24/7 operations.
• Rotate shifts to support mission-critical, remote deployment.
