Job summary

Amentum seeks an Electronics Technician to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. You will maintain and repair electrical/electronic equipment, perform diagnostics, and ensure NAVFAC MO-200 compliance. You will read schematics, document activities, and collaborate with the team to meet deployment schedules.

Requirements include 1–3 years in relevant maintenance, a high school diploma, and the ability to obtain/maintain facility credentials; overseas work may be required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience maintaining and repairing electrical and electronic equipment.
• Certification/training in NAVFAC MO-200 standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and manuals.
• Must obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
• Experience and/or willingness to work in austere OCONUS environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic equipment to ensure operational readiness.
• Perform tests, inspections, and diagnostics on systems to identify and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, repair, and inspection records.
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and diagrams for repairs and modifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, NAVFAC MO-200 standards, and electrical codes.
• Coordinate with supervisors and teammates to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with tech and NAVFAC standards.
