Job summary

Serve Robotics seeks a Reliability Operations Engineer to support the operational reliability of robotic and cloud systems. You will handle Tier 2 escalations, refine runbooks, and perform technical investigations during daytime hours in your region, coordinating with senior engineers and SREs.

You will lead incident investigations, respond to escalations using runbooks and observability tools, and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
5+ years in Reliability Operations, Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related fields.
Experience in Tier 1 or Tier 2 investigations, log review, structured escalation.
Proficiency with Linux, navigating systems, logs, and diagnostics.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Ability to interpret metrics, logs, and traces with Grafana/Prometheus, GCP Monitoring, OpenTelemetry.
Clear communication during time-sensitive incidents, strong ownership and accountability.

Responsibilities

Lead incident investigations during region daytime hours with timely updates and escalation as needed.
Respond to Tier 1 escalations using runbooks, logs, and diagnostics; remediate or escalate.
Update runbooks and documentation; run existing automations and enhance tooling.
Use observability tools to interpret metrics, logs, and traces to identify anomalies.
Provide concise incident updates to engineering/SRE teams and support root-cause discussions.
Participate in a rotating weekend on-call schedule to maintain production coverage.
Strengthen workflows and contribute to the Reliability Operations function as it evolves.
