Job summary

Ibex Limited in Davao City seeks an IT desktop support specialist to maintain IT infrastructure, systems, applications, and end users. The role blends hands-on technical support, system administration, monitoring, and maintenance to keep operations smooth in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in desktop support, Windows expertise, and strong communication. Travel, graveyard shifts, and on-call duties may be required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of desktop support experience or combination of education/certifications and experience.
• A+ certification is an advantage; MCSE/MCDST desired.
• Experience supporting desktops, laptops, handheld devices and some remote voice/data infrastructure.
• Experience in a large, fast-paced call center environment utilizing VOIP technology.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows XP and Windows 7.
• Good understanding of Active Directory, GPOs, and software deployment.
• Must be a strong team player with a positive attitude and tenacity to complete the mission.
• Excellent communicator/facilitator; ability to interface with clients at all levels.
• Able to partner and build relationships with internal business clients and staff.
• Uses consensus to drive site-wide changes and initiatives.
• Proactive; addresses site issues with urgency.
• Willing to travel and be assigned to different locations.
• Willing to work graveyard shift, render overtime, and be on-call.

Responsibilities

• Receive and respond to trouble tickets via Remedy.
• Troubleshoot, repair desktops and software applications.
• Install, relocate, and deploy new PC hardware and software.
• Support voice/data infrastructure at the site.
• Manage IT inventory/asset management for the region.
• Develop site-level SOPs and supporting documentation.
