Job summary

ChildFund International seeks an Monitoring & Evaluation Officer I for Pasig City in the Philippines. This full-time fixed-term, grant-funded role operates in a hybrid environment and reports to the Research, M&E & Insights Specialist.

The position supports adaptive management through strong data quality and timely reporting to stakeholders. The M&E officer will design and implement the project M&E framework, track performance, train staff, and ensure safeguarding practices while coordinating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Public Health, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in M&E for development or health projects.
• Strong skills in both quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
• Proficiency in M&E software and data visualization tools is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project's results framework and develop M&E tools for data collection.
• Train project staff and partners on M&E tools and processes.
• Oversee data collection, ensure data is verified and entered into the database timely.
• Lead analysis of project data against performance indicators.
• Prepare M&E sections of progress reports for UNICEF and stakeholders.
• Provide technical oversight for baseline assessments.
• Promote safeguarding practices and adhere to safeguarding policy.

About This Role

The M&E Officer is responsible for leading the design and implementation of the project's M&E framework. This role will ensure that project performance is systematically tracked, data is of high quality, and results are reported accurately and on time to support adaptive management and accountability.

Required Experience And Education

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Public Health, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in M&E for development or health projects.
• Strong skills in both quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
• Proficiency in M&E software and data visualization tools is an advantage

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage the project’s results framework and develop M&E tools for data collection
• Train project staff and partners on M&E tools & processes
• Oversee all data collection efforts, ensuring data is collected, verified, and entered into the project database in a timely manner
• Lead the analysis of project data against performance indicators (e.g., FIC rates, training completion, LGU budget allocation)
• Prepare M&E sections of progress reports for UNICEF and other stakeholders
• Provide technical oversight for the project’s baseline assessment
• Remain alert and responsive to any safeguarding risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills which will enable you to promote strong safeguarding practices, understand the safeguarding policy and procedures, and conduct yourself in a manner consistent with the Safeguarding Policy
