Job summary

Energy Development Corporation is seeking a professional to lead community and social aspects of projects guided by VERRA CCB and related standards. You will design community support, engage diverse stakeholders, and drive co-creation for nature-based solutions.

Travel up to 30-50% is expected to enable field collaborations. The role requires field experience in managing community development projects, strong communication, and capability to navigate local and international frameworks for

Qualifications

  • Field experience in managing and implementing community development projects.
  • Knowledge of local and international frameworks for community development.
  • Experience with biodiversity conservation and nature-based solutions.
  • Understanding of Greenhouse gas and sustainability standards such as Gold Standard and CCB.

Responsibilities

  • Leads project area evaluation and selection related to community and social aspects guided by VERRA CCB and other frameworks.
  • Designs appropriate support for local communities and ensures compliance with standards.
  • Engages and organizes communities and stakeholders (LGUs, NGOs, academe, faith groups) as co-creators.
  • Organizes stakeholders to refine, implement and operate Nature based Solutions projects.
  • Oversees awareness campaigns and stakeholder consulting to improve the project.
  • Ensures design implementation meets standards and achieves target community co-benefits.

Leads project area evaluation and selection specifically related to community and social aspects guided by the VERRA CCB and other relevant frameworks. (e.g. baseline profiling and assessments ) Responsible for creating the appropriate design to support the project's local communities. Ensures the design meets relevant aspects of the standards (e.g. Gold Standard, VERRA CCB) Responsible for engaging and organizing communities and other project stakeholders (e.g. LGUs, NGO, academe, faith based groups etc.) to support, refine, implement and operate the project. This work includes organizing stakeholders such that they are able to perform as co-creators and partners in Nature based Solutions project development and operations (e.g. awareness campaigns, consulting stakeholders on the improvement of the project, seeking assistance and support from stakeholders and partners). Responsible for design implementation to achieve target community project co-benefits. Ensures that its implementation is done according to design and the standards (e.g. Gold Standards, VERRA CCB).
