Job summary

Something Somewhere Consulting OPC seeks an Odoo Finance Functional Consultant to lead end-to-end configuration and go-live support for Odoo Accounting in the Philippines. The role focuses on setting up COA, journals, tax grids, bank reconciliations, multi-company setups, and ensuring smooth UAT and go-live.

You will produce fit-gap notes, configuration documentation, and UAT scripts, and deliver end-user finance guides.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 2+ years as an Odoo Functional Consultant or ERP consultant with hands-on Odoo Accounting/Finance delivery.
• Strong knowledge of GL, AR, AP, taxes, and bank reconciliation.
• Experience configuring Odoo Accounting end-to-end from setup to UAT/go-live.

Responsibilities

• Configure and validate Odoo finance setups: COA, Journals, periods, taxes, bank reconciliation.
• Produce fit-gap notes, configuration docs, and configuration log entries.
• Develop UAT scenarios/scripts and evidence support.

Job description

Responsibilities

Configure and validate Odoo finance setups (as applicable):

• Chart of Accounts, Journals, Fiscal Periods/Lock Dates
• Taxes, Tax Grids, Fiscal Positions
• Customer Invoicing, Vendor Bills, Credit Notes, Payment Terms
• Payments, Bank Import/Bank Sync (if used), Bank Reconciliation
• Multi-company and Multi-currency configurations
• Analytic Accounting / Cost Centers, Budgets (if applicable)
• Interactions between Accounting and other Odoo flows that impact finance (e.g., inventory valuation, expense posting), within scope

Produce functional deliverables for Odoo finance implementations:

• Fit-gap notes, configuration documentation, and configuration log entries
• UAT scenarios/scripts and evidence support
• End-user guides/quick references for finance users

Support finance data activities in Odoo:

• Master data templates (customers, vendors, accounts, taxes)
• Trial imports and reconciliation support
• Opening balances approach support (coordination + validation)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years experience as an Odoo Functional Consultant (or ERP functional consultant) with hands-on delivery for Odoo Accounting/Finance.
• Strong functional knowledge of accounting fundamentals (GL, AR, AP, taxes, bank reconciliation).
• Practical experience configuring and supporting Odoo Accounting processes end-to-end (from setup to UAT/go-live).
• Ability to analyze issues, propose Odoo-standard solutions, and explain trade-offs clearly.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with other ERP systems.
• Odoo certification(s), especially finance/accounting-related.
• Experience with bank feed setups, payment providers, or finance-related integrations in Odoo.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies.
