Qualifications

• Qualification in nuclear medicine technology or a related discipline.
• CNMT certification is highly desirable.
• 3+ years of professional experience with nuclear medicine imaging systems or related technologies.
• Strong knowledge of SPECT and PET systems.
• Proficiency with nuclear medicine software applications and imaging workstations.
• Knowledge of radiation safety regulations and QA standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain nuclear medicine imaging systems and software to ensure optimal performance.

About the role

We are seeking a Nuclear Medicine Applications Specialist to join the KMZD GROUP team in San Juan City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting the delivery of advanced nuclear medicine imaging services. As a Nuclear Medicine Applications Specialist, you will be at the forefront of bridging clinical expertise with cutting-edge technology, ensuring optimal utilisation of nuclear medicine equipment and systems. This position is essential to our commitment to providing world-class diagnostic imaging services and directly impacts patient care outcomes and operational efficiency across our medical imaging division.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain nuclear medicine imaging systems and software applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Provide technical training and support to clinical and operational staff on nuclear medicine equipment operation and best practices
• Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with vendors and engineers to resolve system malfunctions and software problems
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures and quality assurance protocols for nuclear medicine applications
• Collaborate with radiologists, nuclear medicine technologists and other clinical staff to optimise imaging protocols and workflow efficiency
• Conduct regular system calibration, validation and performance testing to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Provide technical consultation on new equipment procurement and system upgrades
• Document system configurations, maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and generate technical reports
• Stay current with advancements in nuclear medicine technology and regulatory requirements within the industry

What we're looking for

• Recognised qualification in nuclear medicine technology, medical physics, biomedical engineering or a related discipline
• 3+ years of professional experience working with nuclear medicine imaging systems or related medical imaging technologies
• Strong technical knowledge of SPECT (Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography) and PET (Positron Emission Tomography) systems
• Proficiency in nuclear medicine software applications and imaging workstations
• Comprehensive understanding of radiation safety regulations, quality assurance standards and clinical protocols in nuclear medicine
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to clinical and non-technical staff
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Professional certification in nuclear medicine technology (CNMT) or equivalent qualification is highly desirable
• Experience with picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) integration is advantageous
• Knowledge of healthcare IT systems and electronic medical records (EMR) is beneficial
