Job summary

World Health Organization Philippines seeks a National Consultant for Neglected Tropical Diseases to strengthen country capacity for managing priority NTDS in Manila. The 11-month contract focuses on elimination efforts, data-driven monitoring, supply of drugs and diagnostics, and One Health collaboration with the DOH and regional partners.

Responsibilities include technical input for roadmaps, program strengthening, and knowledge dissemination to accelerate elimination under the WHO NTD Road

Qualifications

• Essential: University degree in science or medicine with postgraduate master’s in public health or related field.
• Experience: 7+ years in public health disease control; 3+ years in vector-borne diseases at international level.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical input for national roadmaps to end priority NTDS; align with WHO roadmaps and national plans.
• Strengthen NTDS control/elimination programs through intensified and integrated implementation.
• Support DOH and partners with Mass Drug Administration, surveillance, and cross-sector One Health actions.
• Collaborate for knowledge management, reporting, and dissemination of NTDS results.
