Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking an NPI Sourcing Buyer to identify, evaluate, and develop strategic suppliers for new product introductions, ensuring reliable material supply and cross-functional collaboration.

You will drive cost optimization, manage supplier performance, and negotiate terms to support successful product launches and sustained manufacturing efficiency, reporting to the NPI Sourcing Manager.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in SCM or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in sourcing/procurement.
Experience in electronics or power supply industry preferred.
Strong knowledge of supplier management and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

Execute RFQs and negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms with suppliers.
Maintain and upload supplier master data into ERP and other business systems.
Collaborate with Commodity Management teams to align sourcing strategies with NPI objectives.
Drive early supplier involvement during product design and development stages to improve manufacturability and reduce risks.
Facilitate DFM reviews between engineering teams and suppliers, driving timely resolution of manufacturability issues.
Coordinate engineering sample and prototype requirements, ensuring suppliers meet project timelines.
