Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking an NPI Sourcing Buyer in Laguna, Philippines to identify and develop strategic suppliers for new product introductions. You will manage supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and drive cost optimization to ensure reliable supply and manufacturing efficiency.

Reporting to the NPI Sourcing Manager, you will collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to drive early supplier involvement, support DFM reviews, and maintain data integrity in ERP systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement or supply chain management.
Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation and cost optimization.
Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or equivalent) and MS Office; familiarity with ISO 9001 is a plus.

Responsibilities

Execute RFQs and negotiate pricing, lead times and terms with suppliers.
Maintain supplier master data in ERP and other systems for data integrity.
Collaborate with Commodity Management to align sourcing with NPI objectives.
Drive early supplier involvement during product design to improve manufacturability and reduce risk.
Facilitate DFM reviews between engineering and suppliers to resolve manufacturability issues.
Coordinate engineering sample and prototype requirements and ensure timely delivery.
Communicate design changes and updates to suppliers throughout the NPI process.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned.
Serve as liaison between engineering, supply chain and suppliers for cost-effective execution of NPI programs.
